Grades PK-7 MUSIC 3rd Quarter News: Harmony, Scales and Notes!

April 1, 2019Grades 5, 6, & 7 have been learning about harmo ny in music. We have explored major, minor and chromatic scales and how we can use them. Major scales produce happy music, minor scales produce sad or scary music and a chromatic scale includes all the notes.
Grades 2, 3, & 4 have been explor ing how music has form. It can have phrases and sections, which are like sentences and paragraphs in writing.
PreK, Kindergarten, and Grade 1 have been learning how quarter notes, eighth notes, and rests (tas, titis and shhh) work in music.
