So Far So Good this school year in Grade 5 in terms of students maintaining a positive attitude toward learning and keeping up their hard work and outstanding effort!
We have been actively engaged in reading our first novel,The Sign of the Beaver, since the start of the school year and our favorite part of the day is going outside on the grass or church steps to read whenever the weather permits.
In Religion, we have begun our study of the seven sacraments and will be using our artistic skills to create an 8-square poster about each of the sacraments and the symbols that represent them.
In Social Studies, students have been busy using their geography skills to read and interpret various kinds of maps and are learning to find famous US locations on a map using lines of latitude and longitude in a game we made up to challenge each other!
We are ALL looking forward to our first dress down day and Halloween and movie celebration together at the end of this month!!!
One thing we have ALL agreed on in Grade 5 and have written about in SUPERB descriptive writing paragraphs is that... “FALL IS FUN!!!”
