We are having a busy and fun time in the Fifth Grade Classroom.
In Language Arts, students wrote Personal Narratives and presented them to the class. I was beyond impressed.
In Social Studies, we finished a chapter on the different Native American tribes and did many fun activities related to the chapter, such as making dreamcatchers, designing totem poles, and reading a book about a friendship between a European settler and a Native American from the Eastern Woodlands.
In Reading, we are in the middle of one of my favorite childhood books, The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe. We are keeping journals about each chapter and dicsussing the actions of the characters in the story. I am so proud of the growth that I have seen in my students.
