  • Center for Disease Control (CDC)
  • Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE)
  • Superintendent of Catholic Schools, Diocese of Worcester
  • Assumption School Re-Opening Committee
• Classroom/Learning Space:
  • Five days/week for a full school day (8:30-3:00)
  • Maximum 15 students per class in K-8th grades
  • 3-6 feet of student social distancing
  • Designated teacher/student areas
  • Elimination of extra furniture and hard to clean or soft objects in classroom
• Nursing/Health Services
  • Daily self-monitor of staff and students (with parent's help) for COVID symptoms
  • Full-time school nurse on staff
  • Dedicated nurse's office with adjacent quarantine room
  • First day training in proper wearing and caring for masks, the importance of, and how it protects us.
• Schedule Modifications
  • Lunch held in the students' classroom
  • Specials Subjects - Art, Language, Music, etc - held in students' classroom. Physical Education held outside (weather permitting).
• Dropoff/Dismissal
  • Morning dropoff carline, students entering alone or as a family, hand sanitizing prior to entering
  • Dismissal first of Pre-K students without siblings to parents, then rest of students with older siblings picking up Pre-K and K.
