The Art Room- 3rd Quarter News: Lenten Prayer Rocks

April 1, 2019A Prayer Rock is a simple way to remember to pray each day. Parents can lay them on their children’s pillows so they remember to pray. Teens can keep them in their backpacks or lock- ers. Anyone can put them on a desk or carry one in a pocket or purse. Assumption School Prayer Rocks were created in Art class during Lent. Paint pens were used to write the word “pray” or another inspirational word on the rock then decorations such as a cross, line drawing, or a smiley face were added. Each student created one for themselves and one will be given away as a gift to our Assumption Parish Community.
