Dear Parents and Students,
We wanted to update you regarding the Assumption School response to the Coronavirus outbreak.
The well-being of our whole School Community: children, families, teachers and staff is our first concern. Assumption School continues to follow the CDC and Massachusetts Department of Health guidelines and protocols.
We want you to be aware of the possibility that our school and other schools may be closed for a period of time in the very near future. We wait for guidance on this from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, the Town of Millbury and the Diocese of Worcester.
For now, in an effort to promote social distancing we are curtailing any all-school gatherings including and not limited to:
With dismissal today, Friday, March 13th the students have been advised to bring home all texts and materials in the event of an extended school closure. Faculty is preparing lessons for students to complete at home. Details on that will be forthcoming.
Our prayer is for speedy recovery for all who are sick or affected by this virus and that those that are healthy might remain so. We will communicate any new information as soon as it becomes available.
