In Grade 2 the writing process is developing as a new year begins. Their main focus thus far has been improving their sentences, defining the subject, and making sure it has a detailed predicate. Then, taking those sentences and creating an interesting, well written paragraph. To do this they brainstorm, write a draft, revise and proofread their way to a paragraph they are proud to read aloud to the class.

We are also exploring the idea of community and Religion. We are following it up with a neighborhood map in Social Studies. Grade 2 is off to a great start this year.
